4 x Forage: Exploring Backroads For Wild Mushrooms

Explore Sunshine Coast Backroads & Hunt For Mushrooms!

Join Shaggy Jack in his Jeep Wrangler in the back country as he scouts out new areas to forage for chanterelles, pines, lobsters, hedgehogs, king boletes, velvet tops, cauliflower and several other wild edible mushrooms. This journey will include driving up logging roads and making multiple stops along the way to hunt for mushrooms. 

Learn about the most productive habitat for each species and practice your foraging and ID skills with an expert on the beautiful Sunshine Coast! 

Location
Meet Shaggy Jack at Gibsons Public Market and join him in his Jeep Wrangler (limit: 3 people) for a ride into the back country north of Gibsons. Alternately, meet him in your own vehicle and follow him.

Additional people $99 each, must have own transportation. 

Requirements
This offering is only available for people with advanced hiking & wilderness skills, as we may venture into areas without trails. If you are planning to drive your own vehicle, please ensure it is appropriate for driving on rough, unpaved forest service roads.
