Wild Mushroom Foraging Excursion 2026

Learn about edible and medicinal mushrooms that commonly fruit during the fall on the West Coast!

Chanterelles, pines, lobsters, hedgehogs, velvet tops, cauliflower and several other mushrooms are the focus of this foraging experience.

Learn about the most productive habitat for each species and practice your foraging and ID skills with an expert on the beautiful Sunshine Coast! 

Booking Sundays to Fridays, September through December 2026

Location

Forest Walk location meet-up spots will be announced via email by 7:00 pm the night before. Locations are in the Mt. Elphinstone area.

Time

Walks are scheduled to start at 11:00 am and may be adjusted upon request. Please email us to request a different start time: info@shaggyjack.com

2.5 Hours - $129 one adult, $15% discount 2 or more
5 Hours - $229 one adult, 15% discount 2 or more
Child - $19

Children - Ages 6-14 are welcome to join the forest walk with an adult. Ages 15+ are considered adults. Children 5 & under are free.

GROUP discounts of 15% are available for groups of 2 or more adults, use discount code GROUP15 at checkout. 

GRAD Discount - If you've joined Shaggy Jack on a previous Forest Walk, you are eligible for a 15% discount - use discount code GRAD15 at checkout, 2 person minimum. Note: Students using the Grad Discount may be required to verify previous participation. Please email us if you need to check your eligibility.
