Wild Mushroom Foraging For Beginners: Spring 2026

Learn about edible and medicinal mushrooms that commonly fruit during the spring on the West Coast! Morels, oysters, turkey tails, reishi, shaggy manes, spring king boletes, the prince and several other mushrooms are covered in this class. The full Spring Class includes:

1. Live Class: Spring Mushrooms

This 90-minute classroom presentation covers the best & most common edible & medicinal wild mushrooms that can be harvested on the West Coast in the spring. 

2. Forest Walk: Spring Habitat

Following the Spring Mushrooms live class, students will have the opportunity to practice their mushroom identification skills on a guided walk through a suitable forest habitat.

In-Person Live Class takes place in the Coastal Room @ Gibsons Public Market
Upper floor, 473 Gower Point Road in Gibsons

Doors open @ 11:00. Class starts at 11:30.
Forest walk location will be 5-15 minute drive from the Market & will start at 1:30.

Child - $19
Children - Ages 6-14 are welcome to take the full class accompanied by an adult. Ages 15+ are considered adults. Children 5 & under are free.
